Student Access Center

In compliance with American Disabilities Act (ADA), the Student Access Center at Malone has been designated to provide services to qualified individuals with disabilities in order to maximize their educational opportunity and academic potential.

Our Mission
  • Enhancing and supporting the mission of Malone
  • Providing and coordinating support services, enabling students with disabilities to receive equal access to an
      • education
      • academic programs
      • and other aspects of campus life

Our Values

  • Enhance student's educational experience while looking toward future endeavors for all students.
  • Through mutual repect, we strive to create a welcoming environment for all and encourage students to reciprocate this respect to other students, faculty, and staff.
  • We work toward accommodating students in a fair manner while maintaining the integrity of the academic programs.
  • While keeping the focus on obtaining an education, community service is promoted as an integral part of serving those in need and learning about who we are as individuals.
  • Services at the post secondary level may differ from prior services received.  The most noticeable differences for students transitioning from high school to higher academic learning is that they must now must advocate for their own educational needs.  We respond to this by teaching students to advocate for themselves in a manner that is respectful to faculty yet still allows them to receive the accommodations that they are entitled to.
  • We are committed to spreading awareness about disabilities to both the Malone community and the community at large.
  • All of these values hape how our office helps to meet the spiritual and education needs of the students enrolled in the office.
