Men's Track & Field Finishes Seventh, Women 22nd At NAIA Outdoor Nationals
05/24/08 - The Malone College men's track & field team posted an impressive seventh-place finish at the NAIA Outdoor National Championships in St. Louis, Missouri last Thursday through Saturday while the Pioneer women took 22nd at the national event. All-Americans included:
Ryan Kienzle (second in 10,000
meter run, third in 5000 meter run),
Aaron Melhorn (first in steeplechase,
fifth in the 5000 meter run),
Evan Gaynor (sixth in the 5000 meter
run), and the fifth-place 4 x 800
meter relay team of Chris Cruise,
Nik Schweikert, Mike Coates, and
Christopher Sinick.
Women's Track & Field (5/24) -
Malone finished 22nd at the NAIA
National Championship Meet with
12 team points. Two All-Americans
were crowned as Becky
Rospotynski finished third in the
pole vault and Kalie Hauenstein took
sixth in the 10,000 meter run.
