With 97 NAIA All-American honors (69 men’s, 28 women’s), Malone men’s and women’s cross country has developed a consistent reputation for winning! Led by NAIA Hall of Fame member Jack Hazen, who recently served as the head distance coach for U.S.A. Track and Field at the 2005 World Track & Field Championships, the team has developed a reputation as one of the premier collegiate cross country programs in the country, regularly competing for the NAIA national title. In fact, the 2007 men's cross country team captured the NAIA national title for the second time in the program's history (the '72 team also won the NAIA title). In addition, the team completed the "perfect" season by defeating every team it competed against in each and every meet in the '07 campaign.
