PIANO PEDAGOGY PROGRAM
 
The Program
The piano pedagogy program at Malone College provides an opportunity for students to pursue special training in the field of piano teaching.  Undergraduate students seeking a Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in music are eligible to earn the Piano Pedagogy Certificate, while courses in the pedagogy curriculum are also available to non-degree students.

A lecture recital of 30-45 minutes duration is required.  An audition and conference is required prior to acceptance into the program.  Students entering this program must be able to perform literature at the required level of proficiency.
 
Upon completion of the curriculum and teaching practicum, students are required to complete an internship consisting of an additional year teaching a minimum of four students each semester in the Malone Piano Preparatory Program.  A Certificate in Piano Pedagogy will be granted to those students completing all of the above requirements.
