The "Pioneer Spirit" Marching Band and Symphonic Band are the major ensembles within the band program. Students who are on band scholarship must participate in the Marching Band and the Symphonic Band.
The Malone College band program offers students a comprehensive experience in ensemble performance, leadership, citizenship, and team building. The very foundation of a great music education can be found in these concepts, and at Malone, students learn to Glorify God through excellence in music. They use their God-given talents to enrich their lives and to support the college, the community, and their fellow band mates.
The Jazz Ensemble, Brass Ensemble, and Flute Choir are all considered minor ensembles or chamber ensembles. These groups receive the same amount of credit as the major ensembles. Each of these ensembles performs regularly on and off campus.
