Malone College offers a chemistry major and a chemistry minor. A chemistry major at Malone prepares the student for graduate school, industry, medical school, dental school, and, when augmented with a variety of education classes, prepares the student for a high school chemistry teaching position. A major in chemistry includes the following coursework: CHEM 131, 132, 221, 312, 322, 331, 332, 343, 344, 401, 402, 460 (for 2 hrs.); MATH 201, 202; PHYS 211, 212; a computer science course. Students wishing to teach high school chemistry and physics should refer to the Physical Science Education major. Students wishing to teach high school biology and chemistry should refer to the Life Science/Chemistry Education major.
