Malone College Men’s And Women’s Tennis Coach ResignsThe Malone College men’s and women’s head tennis coach, Kevin Knoch, has recently announced his resignation. Knoch, who has led both Pioneer tennis programs over the past five years, has compiled an overall record of 45-41 for the men (11-10 conference) and a 44-55 overall mark for the women (18-14 conference). In addition, both teams have qualified for the NAIA Region IX Tournament in four of the five seasons that Knoch has coached the squads. Knoch is stepping down from the position to be able to spend more time with his family.
“My time as coach here at Malone has been a blessing and a privilege in so many ways,” said Knoch. “I’ve had the honor to work with many wonderful student-athletes and will greatly miss the interaction we’ve had on and off the court. God is leading me on a different path which will provide more time with my family and the chance to have a great impact on the lives of those around me.
“Kevin is going to be greatly missed,” said Malone Athletics Director Hal Smith. “Not only has he been a quality coach, he has been a mentor, friend and advisor to his players. Tennis has made good progress under the leadership of Kevin. We wish him the Lord’s best in his future endeavors.”
Malone College is currently accepting applications for the part-time position of head men’s and/or women’s tennis coach. Please send resumes to Malone Athletics Director Hal Smith, 515 25th St. NW, Canton, Ohio 44709.
