Womens Health

Calendar of Events

The Women’s Health Committee is dedicated to providing psycho-educational experiences for women. Realizing that women have special health needs and desiring to provide reliable information and education relative to those needs, our focus is:

  • to aid in the prevention of health related problems of women
  • to improve access to health care and screening opportunities, and
  • to provide information regarding health issues that would heighten awareness of health needs and issues across the lifespan.

One of the most successful endeavors of this committee is sponsoring a Fall Health Fair.  In its’ ninth year and with upwards of 45 demonstrators, the fair serves as an outreach to over 200 students and others in the Malone community.

Other programs provided to address the special needs of women are: Sexual Assault Prevention, Eating Disorder Education Programs, Domestic Violence Awareness, Depression Screening, Breast Cancer Awareness and Prevention, and Self-Defense/Assertiveness Education.
