Into The Streets

An exciting part of the New Student Orientation program is "Into the Streets." On Thursday or Friday afternoon, new students along with faculty and staff will go to different places in the community to participate in various community service projects. These projects give new students an opportunity to get a glimpse of the community beyond the campus and to offer assistance to others.
 
We have many different projects from which you can choose. Some of the types of service include visiting with senior citizens, working on houses, working at a library, yard work and landscaping, clearing trails, removing trash from a canal to prepare for a park, cleaning, playng with childres, praparing packets for mailings, working with cats and dogs, to name a few..
