Norton’s Jessica Krska To Play Softball For Malone College

Jessica Krska, of Clinton and a 2007 graduate of Norton High School, has recently signed a national letter intent to attend Malone College in the fall and play softball for the Pioneers.  The 5’4” pitcher was a three-year letter winner in softball for the Panthers and she also lettered one year in volleyball and one year in cross country.

As a senior pitcher, Krska was voted First Team All PTC and Honorable Mention All Northeast Ohio.  As a junior right fielder, she was named First Team All PTC, Second Team All Northeast Ohio and First Team All Summit County.  In addition, she also earned the Wendy’s Heisman Award, the Archie Griffin Sportsmanship Award and the OHSAA Scholar Athlete Award.  Krska also led the 2006 team to the Sectional championship.

Academically, Krska earned an Academic Letter and Academic Award and also earned the 2007 Bronze Star Student Award.  In addition, she received the Presidential Education Award and was awarded the Norton Alumni Foundation Scholarship.

Krska intends to major in Mathematics at Malone.  She is the daughter of Jeff and Mary Krska of 5861 Serenade Dr., Clinton.
