The Malone College men's golf team finished in the runner-up spot among nine teams at the NCAA Div. Malone finished with a score of 871 (288-290-293) as Eastern Kentucky won their own event with a school-record 822 (278-271-273).  Marshall University placed third at 873, the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay took fourth at 874 and Morehead State (KY) University rounded out the top five at 879.

After Phipps' tremendous score, Ben Smith (So., Carrollton H.S.) was next for Malone, tying for 10th at 216 (69-70-77).  Quinn Parker (Fr., Canton Central Catholic H.S.) followed in a tie for 24th at 221 (72-76-73) while Justin Lower (Fr., Northwest H.S.) finished with a 226 (74-77-75) and Michael Strayer (So., Riverside H.S.) came in at 237 (81-79-77).
