Malone Finishes Third At Urbana Invitational

 
The Malone College women's golf team finished third among seven teams at the Urbana University Fall Classic on Monday, September 24th as Elena Duncan (So., Warsaw Community H.S.) paced the Pioneers with an 87 (39-48), finishing one stroke behind the overall individual leader.
   
Malone finished with a score of 387 as Urbana University won their own event with a score of 380. Walsh University placed second with a 384, Ohio Dominican University finished fourth with a score of 388, and Muskingum College rounded out the top five at 410.
   
After Duncan's tremendous score, Jennifer Snyder (Fr., North Allegheny Senior H.S.) was next for Malone, tying for third with a score of 88 (42-46). Heather Hall (Sr., Bellefontaine H.S.) followed in ninth place overall with a score of 95 (48-47). Carrina Baldner (Jr., Hillsdale H.S.) rounded out the Pioneer scoring as she finished in a tie for 27th place with a score of 117 (63-54). In addition, Sarah Ramsey (So., Kenton Ridge H.S.) competed as an individual at the event, posting a score of 114 (58-56).
   
Malone's next match will be on Saturday, September 29th at the Walsh University Invitational in North Canton, Ohio.
