Pioneers Notch 3-0 Win Over Notre Dame (OH)The Malone College volleyball team posted a 30-27, 31-29, 30-23 home victory over Notre Dame (Ohio) College on Tuesday evening. The Falcons and Pioneers had squared off just one week prior to Tuesday’s contest as Notre Dame had rallied for a 3-2 American Mideast Conference North Division win in South Euclid, Ohio on October 16th. Just like in the previous meeting between the two squads, Malone won the first two games of Tuesday’s contest. However, this time the Pioneers were able to put the division-leading Falcons away with a seven-point victory in game three. With the important AMC North win, Malone improves to 17-15 (7-3 AMC North) on the year while Notre Dame falls to 16-12 (8-2 AMC North).

Malone has now won three consecutive matches. The squad will look to extend its winning streak on Saturday when it hosts a tri-match with Mount Vernon Nazarene University (31-1, 9-0 AMC S) and Houghton (NY) College (10-18, 2-8 AMC N). The Pioneers will open competition against the NAIA #17 Cougars at noon on Saturday.
