MSFA Recognizes Five Pioneers With All-Academic HonorsFive members of the Malone College football team were recently honored as 2007 All-Academic selections by the Mid-States Football Association (MSFA).
Senior linebacker Dan Hromada, a Sport Management major from North Royalton, Ohio (Padua Franciscan H.S.), junior linebacker Justin Jump, a Bible and Theology major from Wellington, Ohio (Wellington H.S.), junior offensive lineman Mark Kurzen, a Zoo Biology major from Massillon, Ohio (Tuslaw H.S.), junior quarterback Dominic Liberati, a Commercial Music Technology major from Belmont, Ohio (Union Local H.S.), and junior punter Tyler Parry, a Business Administration major from North Loxahatchee, Florida (Palm Beach Gardens H.S.), were each recognized by the conference for their hard work in the classroom. To receive the MSFA All-Academic distinction, recipients must have been a junior or senior in academic standing, possessed a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.20 (on a 4.0 scale), and have made significant contributions to his team.
In addition to this MSFA academic award, Jump, Kurzen, Liberati, and Parry were also previously recognized at the national level as 2007 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar Athletes. Click HERE to view the complete list of honorees.
