St. Thomas Aquinas’ Nick Fernandez To Play Soccer For Malone College

           Nick Fernandez, of Canton and a 2008 graduate of St. Thomas Aquinas High School, has recently signed a letter of intent to attend Malone College in the fall and play soccer for the Pioneers. The 6’3” forward lettered one year in soccer and one year in basketball.
 
           Fernandez’s accomplishments include receiving the Coach’s Award in 2008, being named Honorable Mention All Stark County and being selected to play in the Top 25 All-Star Game at a Michigan State soccer camp.  Fernandez also helped his team to back-to-back district championships, a runner-up finish in the Tri-County League and to a regional finals finish.

 

           At Malone, Fernandez plans to major in Elementary Education. He is the son of Lynn and Flory Fernandez of 5564 Glenhill NE , Canton .
