Field’s Alexa Polasky To Play Basketball At Malone College

Alexa Polasky, of Mogadore and a 2008 graduate of Field High School , has recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Malone College this fall and play basketball for the Pioneers.


Polasky, a 6’1” forward, lettered four years in basketball and two years in soccer for the Falcons, collecting numerous awards throughout her high school career. After posting 17.0 points, 8.6 rebounds and 1.0 blocks per game as a senior, she was named Portage Trail Conference, Metro Division First Team All-Conference, Second Team All Northeast Ohio Midland District and All Ohio Team Honorable Mention.  In addition, she was the leading scorer for Portage Trail Conference Metro Division this season and she amassed 955 career points at Field.  She was the only senior and co-captain on a team that won the first sectional title in school history and set the record for most wins (20) in a season.  Polasky also was selected a Portage Trail Conference Scholar Athlete Award winner and the  Portage County Record Courier Player of the Week (2/20/2008).

Polasky intends to major in English with a minor in Secondary Education at Malone.  She is the daughter of Mark and Andra Polasky of 1408 Countryside Drive, Mogadore.
