A joint news release by Temple Israel, the Canton Jewish Community Center, and Malone College:     The Malone College Board of Trustees indicated this morning, at their regularly scheduled May meeting, the College’s intention to “seriously pursue an agreement” regarding the purchase of the buildings and properties of Temple Israel and the Canton Jewish Community Center.
 
Within the past few months similar action has been taken by the Temple Israel Board and the Board of the Canton Jewish Community Center. With the vote this morning by the Malone College Board of Trustees, the boards of all three entities have agreed to “seriously pursue” the purchase by Malone College of the facilities located on approximately nineteen acres bordering Yale Ave, Harvard Ave, State Route 62, and 25th Street NW.
 
It is anticipated that an agreement will be reached and documents finalized during the month of June.
