Eight Malone Baseball Players Earn NCCAA All-Region Honors; Adam Boudler Named Pitcher Of Year

Eight Malone College baseball players earned NCCAA East Regional honors in recent voting.  Seven players earned First Team honors while one earned Honorable Mention accolades.  Junior pitcher Adam Boudler (Louisville H.S.), junior pitcher Sam Campitella (Jackson H.S.), junior infielder Ryan Baechel (GlenOak H.S.), senior outfielder Chris Mandeville (Tuslaw H.S.), senior outfielder Troy Richeson (Minerva H.S.), senior outfielder John Stallings (Louisville H.S.), and senior designated hitter Zach Winkhart (Canton Central Catholic H.S.) all earned NCCAA East Region First Team recognition.  Receiving Honorable Mention honors for the Pioneers was freshman pitcher Bryan Bayer (Fr., Fairless H.S.). In addition his First Team recognition, Adam Boudler was named NCCAA East Region Pitcher of the Year.

The Pioneers’ overall record is currently 39-14.  After being eliminated from the NAIA Region IX Tournament, the team won the NCCAA East Region Tournament to advance to the NCCAA National Championships being held in Struthers , Ohio May 21-24.  In addition, Malone is just one win shy of tying the school record of 40 wins set in 2006.
