Mount Vernon High School's Caleb Tier To Compete In Track & Field At Malone

Caleb Tier, of Mount Vernon , Ohio and a 2008 graduate of Mount Vernon High School , has recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Malone College in the fall and participate in the sprinting events for the men’s track and field team.

Tier lettered four years in track & field and one year in both basketball and football for the Yellow Jackets.  In track, Tier was named the MVP sprinter in both his junior and senior years.  As a senior, he was a team captain and received All-Ohio Special mention, 1st team All Central District, 1st Team All Area, and 2nd Team All-OCC.  In addition, he received the Most Outstanding Athlete “Spectrackular” award.

Tier intends to major in Physical Education with a minor in Health at Malone.  He is the son of Jamie and Connie Tier of 21 Laurelwood Drive, Mount Vernon.
