New London’s Brandon Lang To Compete In Track & Field At MaloneBrandon Lang, of New London, Ohio and a 2008 graduate of New London High School, recently signed a national letter of intent to attend Malone College in the fall and participate in middle distance events for the men’s track & field team.
Lang lettered four years in both cross country and track & field for the Wildcats, collecting numerous honors and awards throughout his high school career. He was a three-time First Team All-Firelands Conference selection in addition to being named First Team All-District following his junior and senior seasons. Lang was a four-time individual regional qualifier and twice competed at the state championships (he was a member of New London’s cross country team that qualified for state in the fall of 2006 and was also a member of the Wildcats’ 4 x 800 meter relay team that reached the state meet in the spring of 2007).
Lang helped New London capture conference and district titles in both 2006 and 2007 as the Wildcat cross country team placed second at the regional meet and ninth at the state meet during his junior year (2006).
In addition to his athletic awards, Lang was also recognized for his academic success as he received conference All-Academic Honorable Mention recognition as a senior. He is the son of Douglas and Stephanie Lang of 5275 Fayette Rd., New London and plans to major in Physical Education at Malone. |
