Bob Buswell

The first lesson I (Dave) learned from Dr. Buswell as a freshman in 
New Testament Survey was that I had not learned as much about the 
Bible from Sunday School as I thought I had. It was the only course I 
would take from Dr. Buswell, however, since I was a music major.

We really grew to love and appreciate Bob and Joyce in Hong Kong 
where Bob was an exchange professor at Baptist College for a year in 
the early 80's. They lived in the same housing complex, so we met 
frequently, eating together and spending some weekends and holidays 
showing them some of the great sites of Hong Kong.

I greatly enjoyed Bob's dry humor and wit. I also grew to appreciate 
his deep knowledge of the Bible and most of all his love for the 
Author - the One to whom he dedicated his life.

Through the years we did not see the Buswells often, but we always 
enjoyed the times when we were able to get together. They will always 
be a part of our special memories, particularly of Hong Kong.

We join with others who rejoice in a life "well-lived" for the only 
cause that matters.  Bob, we thank you for leaving footprints of 
faith for all of us Malone students to follow.
