Malone Football Announces Recruiting ClassThe Malone College football team, led by third-year head coach Mike Gardner, will have 39 incoming freshmen and transfers joining its returnees to the 2008 Pioneer football squad. Twenty-eight freshmen, five of whom are from Stark County, and 11 transfers will join the ’08 Malone team.
The 2007 team posted an 8-4 overall record, which included a convincing 45-17 win over Geneva (PA) College in the NCCAA Victory Bowl. In two seasons under Gardner, Malone is 15-8. The Pioneers had a national ranking of 25th in the NAIA’s postseason poll after the ’07 season.
