Steve Wirick

Instructor of Exercise Science

Steve Wirick has served as an Instructor of Exercise Science within the Health and Human Performance Department since 2003. Prior to his assignment to teaching full-time at Malone, Steve spent seven years working as a Certified Athletic Trainer for Concorde Therapy Group where he held the position of Coordinator for Sports Medicine Services.
 
Steve completed his B.S. degree in Athletic Training and M.S. degree in Exercise Physiology both from the University of Akron. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D. from The Ohio State University in Exercise Science with an emphasis on Physical Activity Behavior and Health Promotion. Steve holds membership with the National Athletic Trainers Association (NATA) and the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA).
 
Steve’s current research interests involve the investigation of significant life transitions and their affect on levels of physical activity, development of physical activity interventions, and testing of physical activity and behavioral measurement instruments.
