Campus Communication
In order to better communicate in a timely manner with all Malone College students, an email account has been created for every student, faculty and staff member.

Malone College Website
The Malone website also provides a means of communication for prospective and current students as well as faculty and staff. 

Computer Network Accounts
Each Malone College student is provided with a network account. Each student is provided a College email account and a network drive (H-drive with limited storage) for storing documents and course materials. This data can then be accessed anywhere on campus and is regularly backed up.

Computer Network Access for Students
Resident students can use computers and printers located in study rooms of each residence hall. These study rooms have word processing software as well as Internet and email capabilities. All residence hall rooms have a computer network connection for each desk in the room.  Commuter students may use any of the computers in the library or computer labs for email, Internet access, and class assignments.
 
Wireless Computer Access on Campus
Wireless access is available in fhe following locations:

  • Haviland Hall
  • Johnson Center
  • Mitchell Hall
  • Regula Hall
  • Timken Science Hall

  • The Quad area (outside of Myers Lounge)
Computer Labs
Five computer labs are available for classes and general student use including email, accessing the Internet and word processing.
  • CL24, located in the lower level of the Cattell Library, is customized with learning applications for the education courses.
  • CL46, located in the lower level of the Cattell Library, is an Macintosh lab and has specialized software programs for music, art and communication students.
  • TS111, located in Timken Science Hall, is configured for computer programming courses.
  • The Nursing Center for Study and Testing, RH105, located in Regula Hall, has specialized software for nursing students.
  • RH300, located on the third floor of Regula Hall, is a large lab that is used for teaching and is located close to where most classes are held..

Computers in the Classroom
All classrooms are connected to the campus-wide computer network and have access to the Internet. Most classrooms are equipped with computers and mounted projectors in the classroom for PowerPoint presentations and videos.

Media Services 
Media Services provides campus audio-visual and media services. Video and digital cameras, overheads, projectors, and other devices can be signed out from this department for classroom presentations.

Staff Training
Annual computer training is available for all faculty and staff in May. Courses include beginner and intermediate level training for the use of various Microsoft applications, as well as a brief overview of login procedures and Window-based functions.

Help Desk Assistance
The Help Desk serves as a centralized point of contact to assist with the technological needs of the College. Support is provided for network connectivity, hardware availability & maintenance, and software questions.  Click here to put a ticket into the automated Helpdesk system.
