Graduate Assistant - Sports Information

Malone University is accepting applications for a Sports Information graduate assistant. The graduate assistant position is designed for two years of study, subject to satisfactory academic progress and maintaining a 3.0 GPA.

Responsibilities include assisting the Assistant Athletic Director and Sports Information Director with game day operations, communication with game personnel, supervision of student work staff, creation of social media and written content for assigned sports and support of special events including regular season and postseason competitions. Opportunities for summer work and campus housing will be available.

Applicants must apply and be accepted into a master’s degree program at Malone University, and must be enrolled in a minimum of six graduate credits in the fall and spring semesters.

  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Strong customer service and organizational skills
  • Ability to handle conflict and sensitive situations with poise and tact Must have valid driver’s license
  • Must be able to use Microsoft office
  • Ability to lift and move athletics equipment up to 50 pounds.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Sport Management or related field

Compensation

Scholarship will cover full tuition expenses for two classes per semester. Does not cover course related fees or textbooks. The candidate must have earned a baccalaureate degree and be admitted as a full-time student in any graduate program at Malone University, effective fall 2024. This position is a two-year commitment, renewed after one year based on satisfactory academic and work-related performance.
