Campaigns Coordinator

About the position

The Campaigns Coordinator is responsible for the spearheading and supporting special fundraising initiatives for Malone University, which include primarily the annual fund and athletic fundraising.

Essential Duties, Tasks and Responsibilities

  1. Manages the Malone Fund including fostering innovative ways to continue the growth of the program at the direction of the Director of Advancement Operations.
  2. Manages annual athletic fundraising projects.
  3. Provides support for the annual scholarship campaign at Malone University.
  4. Researches and carries out new ideas for growing the annual fund program and donor base.
  5. Plays a vital role in the creative planning, management, and execution of annual fund events.
  6. Candidates must be extremely creative, motivated and have a desire to stretch themselves in order for the annual fund program, and other special fundraising initiatives to reach beyond its current borders and achieve new heights.
  7. Performs other related duties as assigned.

  2. Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a wide range of people and cultures, and a commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion.
  3. Demonstrated ability to efficiently and effectively solve problems and initiate and implement projects independently is essential.
  4. Bachelor’s degree in related field required.
  5. Prior experience in the higher education environment is helpful but not necessary.
  6. The ability to master new computer-based systems promptly and proficiently.
  7. A current valid driver’s license as some local / regional travel will be necessary.
  8. Extremely organized and detail-oriented.
  9. Excellent project management skills and ability to prioritize work and resources.
  10. Ability to meet deadlines.
  11. Ability to coordinate multi-faceted projects with minimal supervision and high initiative in a deadline driven environment.
  12. Proven effective relational and collaborative skills are also required.
  13. A proven ability to maintain high levels of professionalism.
  14. Hours per week are anticipated to vary based on the needs and fluctuations of the fundraising and events cycle.
  15. Occasional evening, weekend and commitments may be necessary at times.
  16. Ability to build effective professional working relationships internally and externally.
  17. Effective communication skills, both oral and written; attention to detail, and ability to multi–task and stay organized under tight deadlines.
  18. Presents him or herself outside the university in a manner in keeping with the University’s core values and guiding principles.
  19. Ability to maintain confidential information.
  20. Ability to solve daily problems by analyzing situations, determining next steps, and implementing.
  21. Ability to comprehend and process information rapidly and accurately.
  22. Skills in effectively organizing work, files, records, etc., to maintain efficient workflow.
  23. General knowledge of standard office practices and office equipment.
