Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and sanitary environment for all assigned areas on campus which include: public buildings, private offices, event venues, student dormitories, student rooms and cooking and eating facilities.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Performs a variety of activities including: cleaning, disinfecting/sanitizing, dusting, vacuuming, mopping, etc…
- Collects and removes trash and debris
- Spot checks tile floors and windows on a daily basis and cleans accordingly
- Ensures all areas assigned to are cared for and inspected according to standards
- Maintains organized and fully stocked supply storage closets
- Inventories cleaning supplies and equipment and requisitions on a weekly basis
- Completes routine inspections of all assigned areas on a monthly basis and notes items and areas that need in-depth attention
- Completes documentation as required
- Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience
- High School diploma or GED
- Proven experience as a Cleaner or Housekeeper
Working Conditions / Physical Demands
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Physically able to reach, stretch, grasp, bend, and walk during daily routine, with the ability to stand for long lengths of time
- Hours and days of work may vary on a weekly basis
- May occasionally be required to work overtime
- May occasionally be required to work weekends and special events when needed
