The Higher Learning Commission

The Higher Learning Commission (HLC) has reaffirmed the Malone University’s status as an accredited institution of higher education.

This 10-year accreditation stands until the next reaffirmation appointment in 2022-2023.

During the site visit in February 2023, a committee of more than 30 Malone faculty and staff members will share evidence that tells Malone’s story, demonstrates the essential and transformative education we provide our students, and seeks ways to strengthen the Institution, including how we recruit students, craft and assess curricular and co-curricular programing, educate our students inside and outside the classroom, steward our resources, and plan for the future.

HLC Criteria

The Criteria for Accreditation are the standards of quality by which the HLC determines whether an institution merits accreditation or reaffirmation of accreditation.
