2025-2026 FAFSA

The 2025-26 FAFSA is now open

The online Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA®) is available to all students and families, and the Department of Education is now processing submissions and sending them to schools for the 2025-26 academic year. The paper form is also available for students to submit.

Here are some things you should complete before applying:

Create a StudentAid.gov account if you do not have one already, for both student and parent.
Make sure you have your Social Security Number handy.
Gather your 2023 tax records.
Work with a parent or guardian to gather records of your assets, including any child support received; current balances of cash, savings, and checking accounts; and net worth of investments, business, and farms.
Know what schools you would like to send your FAFSA information to (if you are a high school senior) or your current school's name. Malone’s institutional code is 003072.
