Celebration Worship Leader
REPORTS TO:
COMPENSATION:
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Celebration worship leader is a leader of Malone University who plans and executes Celebration services by overseeing song selection, rehearsals, and team building activities. A Celebration leader is a person who is pursuing God, passionate about worship ministry, and is an experienced and growing musician.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
This position will work as an extension of the Office of Spiritual Formation to promote spiritual formation in the lives of Malone students.
Character
- Is a Christ-follower and is actively pursuing and being formed by Jesus
- Is a part of some form of regular Christian community (church, life group, Bible study, etc.)
- Is teachable and desires to keep growing in faith and musical ability
Experience
- Has experience leading worship for 6 months to a year (minimum) in another context
- Is competent on their instrument(s) and/or vocal ability
Responsibilities
- Communicate rehearsal dates and times with Celebration team
- Prayerfully select songs and enter them into Planning Center in a timely manner
- Lead rehearsals with spiritual fervor and musical competence
- Lead each Celebration service
- Plan off-stage team building gatherings for the Celebration team
- Enter lyrics into Pro Presenter for each Celebration

COMPENSATION:
This is a volunteer position. A budget will be given for mentoring and team building expenses.
HOURS:
2 hrs per week
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Celebration speaker is a leader of Malone University who creates and executes one sermon a month for Celebration. A Celebration speaker is a person who is pursuing God, and is passionate about communicating the gospel for the sake of the formation of themselves and others.

This position will work as an extension of the Office of Spiritual Formation to promote spiritual formation in the lives of Malone students.

- Is teachable and desires to keep growing in their faith and speaking ability
Experience
- Has experience teaching or preaching in some capacity (devotions at youth group, small sermons, hosting worship services, etc.)
- Is competent in public speaking
Responsibilities
- Design speaking themes each semester with your co-Celebration speaker
- Prayerfully and studiously write, internalize, and execute one sermon a month for Celebration
- Meet with the Worship Arts Coordinator to receive feedback prior to giving your Celebration sermon
