Fireside Worship Leader
REPORTS TO:
- Maintain a 2.5 cumulative GPA.
- Abides by the Malone Community Agreement
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Fireside worship leader is a leader of Malone University who plans and executes Fireside services by overseeing song selection, rehearsals, and team building activities. A Fireside leader is a person who is pursuing God, passionate about worship ministry, and is an experienced and growing musician.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
This position will work as an extension of the Office of Spiritual Formation to promote spiritual formation in the lives of Malone students.
Character
- Is a Christ-follower and is actively pursuing and being formed by Jesus
- Is a part of some form of regular Christian community (church, life group, Bible study, etc.)
- Is teachable and desires to keep growing in faith and musical ability
Experience
- Has experience leading worship for 6 months to a year (minimum) in another context
- Is competent on their instrument(s) and/or vocal ability
Responsibilities
- Communicate rehearsal dates and times with Fireside team
- Prayerfully select songs and enter them into Planning Center in a timely manner
- Lead rehearsals with spiritual fervor and musical competence
- Lead each Fireside service (one per month)
- Plan off-stage team building gatherings for the Fireside team

Fireside Coordinator
REPORTS TO:

GENERAL DESCRIPTION
A Fireside coordinator is a leader of Malone University who plans and oversees Fireside services by scheduling the speakers and worship teams for each Fireside, creating a service flow for each Fireside, creating atmosphere (ex., Christmas theme, or Valentine’s theme, etc.), and communicating the plan to all involved (worship leader, speakers, etc.). A Fireside Coordinator is a person who is pursuing God and passionate about ministry and organizing it for the sake of other’s growth.

This position will work as an extension of the Office of Spiritual Formation to promote spiritual formation in the lives of Malone students.

Experience
- Has experience in public speaking
- Has experience in organizing worship services, or a desire to learn
Responsibilities
- Create a service flow in Planning Center for each Fireside
- Recruit and schedule a speaker and host for each Fireside (monthly)
- Communicate the details of each Fireside to all involved
- Gather the team and pray prior to each Fireside service
- Plan and execute Fireside themes (Christmas, Valentine’s, Halloween, etc.)
- Occasionally hosts Fireside (welcome, response time, sending, etc.)
