Mark McClure, Men's and Women's Head Track and Field Coach

HOW LONG HAVE YOU BEEN AT MALONE UNIVERSITY?

13 years.

WHAT ATTRACTED YOU TO WORK AT MALONE?

I competed at Malone in Track and Field from 1987-1991 under Jack Hazen and have coached at all NCAA levels. I am a Pioneer and really believe in what Division II is all about.

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST ABOUT YOUR JOB RESPONSIBILITIES?

I love building relationships with our student-athletes. It’s awesome to meet with future Pioneers and tell them about our program/University.

HOW DO YOU ANSWER WHEN ASKED TO DESCRIBE MALONE'S BRAND OF EDUCATION?

As a Christian university, we seek to develop the whole person during their journey. I think people will be hard-pressed to find another regional university that provides students with a Christ-centered academic experience like you would receive at Malone.

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE MALONE STUDENTS?

They are my people! We have a wide variety of students and can easily find something in common with each student. Malone is truly a special place!

HOW HAS WORKING AT MALONE SHAPED YOUR INDIVIDUAL FAITH JOURNEY?

God has always been an important part of my life. I love to work in an environment where I can freely express my beliefs. Malone allows me to do this and that’s why I’m doing what I do.

DESCRIBE YOUR COLLEAGUES AND THEIR COMMITMENT TO MALONE?

Malone has the absolute best staff that I have ever worked with. I enjoy having conversations with my colleagues because it’s evident that all our coaches truly care about each other.
