I have worked at Malone for 23 years.
What attracted you to work at Malone?
I was attracted by the collegiality, the small college atmosphere, the focus on educating the whole person, and the integration of faith, learning, and living.
What do you enjoy most about your job responsibilities?
I enjoy problem-solving, collaboration, conversation about things that matter, and helping students to gain understanding, meaning, and purpose.

Education at Malone is relational, integrative, and aimed at faith, meaning, purpose, and service.
How would you describe Malone students?
Kind, caring, and down to earth.
How has working at Malone shaped your individual faith journey?
Malone’s Quaker heritage and the varied streams of Christian faith represented have broadened and deepened my faith in many ways. I am grateful for the opportunity to explore enduring questions that deal with the intersection of Christian faith and academic disciplines, the nature of callings, and what it means to faithfully learn and serve.
Describe your colleagues and their commitment to Malone?
I have tremendous respect for my colleagues. They are intelligent, kind, collaborative people who exhibit a deep and persistent commitment to students and this institution.
What’s your dream travel destination and why?
Scandinavia! I have an inexplicable attraction to culture and the landscape. My favorite book, My Struggle, was written by a Norwegian author named Karl Ove Knausgaard.
