File Under: Academic Excellence

According to the Ohio Board of Nursing (2016), there are 39 baccalaureate nursing programs in the state.

Zippia, a west coast hiring platform whose mission is to provide career resources for new professionals, recently ranked Malone University #5 in Ohio for the quality of its bachelor of nursing program.

To determine the best nursing schools in Ohio, Zippia analyzed data from the National Center for Educational Statistics (NCES) and College Scorecard (ED.gov) to understand how institutions offer the best career opportunities.

Data considered in the ranking includes:
1.    Career results (mean earnings after six years and ten years, and ration of workers to non-workers after ten years)
2.    Nursing emphasis (percentage of graduating class that are nursing majors)
3.    School performance (selectivity of admission, graduation rate, average cost of attendance, median amount of debt)

"Third party endorsements are heartening as they give recognition and authenticity to the value of our programs," said President David King. "We serve our students in a variety of formats, but the quality and character of the education is distinctly Malone."
