Malone to host Youth Explosion in November
The ministry conference with a longstanding history, serving junior high and high school students, is coming to Malone University in November.
Formerly held at Willoughby Hills Friends Church, this event offers teenagers an opportunity to worship together and listen to a variety of speakers who tackle issues weighing on today’s youth. Students can choose breakout sessions of interest to them and churches are invited from all over Ohio and the surrounding states.
“We’re so very pleased to continue the tradition of Youth Explosion and the good work done by our friend and alumnus Jim Davis,” said Malone President David King. “We’re thrilled to be able to host 1,000 students who are coming to Youth Explosion to celebrate their faith.”
This longstanding student ministry supports Malone’s mission of providing students with the tools to serve the church, community, and world.
“Malone was the logical choice for continuing Youth Explosion,” said Jim Davis '84, associate pastor of Willoughby Hills Friends Church and director of Youth Explosion for more than two decades. “We’re partnering with Malone during the transition period. Malone has been a big part of my life and my family’s life. I’m very proud that my alma mater will carry on the program that has helped so many young people along their faith journey.”
