Malone is one of 13 Ohio colleges and universities honored with selection to the guide.
Malone University named a College of Distinction
The national rating guide Colleges of Distinction has included Malone University in its 2016 edition.
According to the guide’s editors, “Malone was selected as a College of Distinction for its high-impact and innovative education practices and for its emphasis on preparing graduates to flourish in their professions.”
To be considered for inclusion in the guide, schools must demonstrate results across four areas:
- Engaged students
- Great teaching
- Vibrant community
- Successful outcomes.
High school counselors and educators make nominations and each school is evaluated on key indicators including student engagement, student empowerment, and curricular innovation. “Colleges of Distinction demonstrate dedication to enriching student outcomes through innovative learning opportunities,” according to the editors of the publication.
“It seems there are more ratings guides and publications every year,” said Tim Bryan, Malone University chief of staff and vice president for marketing and communication. “However, it’s always nice when an organization provides recognition to the university for things that matter like the strength of our academic program, the quality of our faculty, and the outcomes our graduates enjoy.”
