In the last few years, we've used feedback from this to make improvements in our halls and on our campus. Here are just a few improvements...
- kitchenettes in all the buildings,
- new recreation equipment in lounges & yoga rooms, massage chairs
- better lighting on campus,
- updates to the Barn
- and topics that you want to hear about in SFOs.

What you share with us matters! Even though portions of our survey are confidential, there are portions we can share that are really good news. Nearly all of these were higher satisfaction rates than last year. Here are a few:
Residents agreed or strongly agreed that...
- 90% said Malone is a good fit for them! (2023: 90%)
- 89% have a staff/faculty member they can talk to when facing a personal issue or decision. (2023: 85%)
- 91% have been mentored in my major. (2023:94%)
- 74% - have a mentor on campus outside the classroom. (2023: 67%)
- 74% felt courses in their major included varied perspectives on topics. (2023: 71%)
- 85% said their academic experience prepared them to achieve their goals. (2023: 80%)
- 77% said their advising experience is preparing them to achieve goals. (2023: 78%)
- 84% are involved in co-curriculars on campus. (2023: 86%)
- 76% participate in CAB events. (2023: 73%)
- 88% have a sense of connection to campus through these events. (2023: 90%)
- 97% said the Res Life staff offered opportunities to get to know them. (2023: 97%)
- 95% said their RAs encourage them to get involved. (2023: 95%)
- 100% said their RA was willing to discuss concerns and academic concerns. (2023: 99%)
- 98% - Res Life staff provides an environment of connection, community and growth. (2022: 98%)
- 98% - said their RAs are a role model (2023: 99%)
- 98% said RAs hold their floor accountable to standards of Malone. (2023: 98%)
- 88% felt that living in the residence halls has contributed to their personal growth. (2023: 89%)
- 90% felt connected to Malone because of living in the halls. (2023: 91%)
- 93% feel welcomed at Malone. (2022: 93%)
- 87% said living on campus helped to develop friendships with people who are different from them. (2023:90%)
- 74% said living in the halls helped them live cooperatively with others. (2023: 75%)
- 69% said Malone helped them think about problems from different perspectives. (2023: 70%)
- 60% said Malone contributed to their ability to solve complex problems. (2023: 63%)
- 67% said Malone helped contribute to their understanding of the local/global community. (2023: 66%)
- 82% said living on campus helped them grow in their faith (2023:85%)
- 89% said they were aware of service opportunities they can get involved in. (2023: 92%)
- 68% stated they had participated in a service opportunity. (2023: 68%)
- Chipotle was your first choice in fast food! (2023: Chipotle; 2022: Chick-fil-a)
Things we will need to work on:
- Better bathrooms in WW & Fox
- More seating in the Barn!
- Some more healthy options and an improved frozen food selection in Market C!
