Dinner: 4:30-6 p.m.

Malone—via Avi Foodsystems— offers two meal plans for students.

28-meal plan

The 28-meal plan offers 28 meals throughout the week (breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late night). Five guests (not including other Malone students) are allowed during the semester at no extra cost.

Notice: First-year Freshmen are required to take the 28-meal plan the entire year.

14-meal plan

This meal plan offers 14-meals per week (Monday-Sunday), including late night meals.  Three guests (not including other Malone students) are allowed per semester at no extra cost.This meal plan also includes a limited amount of Flex Dollars. Meals may not be carried forward into future weeks.

Additional notes regarding meal plans:

  • Meals in the above plans are not provided during any breaks (Thanksgiving, Winter break, etc.) 
  • Parents are always welcome at Malone University and may eat free with their students except for Family Weekend, holiday celebrations, specially catered events, or if their parent is a Malone employee.
  • Eco-containers: An environmentally friendly reusable to-go container is available for $5 at the cashier’s desk in the Hoover Dining Commons.

Commuter Meal Plans

Students who live off-campus are welcome to purchase one of the above meal plans. They also may purchase a Block 75 meal plan. With the Block 75 plan, a limited amount of Flex Dollars is included; but, no guest passes are available. Commuters may also put money on their student IDs in the Business Office or in the AVI office.

Commuter students are encouraged to participate in all campus-wide activities as their schedules permit.

Commuters can enjoy our Serenity Room. The room is located on the second floor of the Library and is equipped with a refrigerator, microwave and TV. The lounge is a perfect location for commuter students to study or relax between. Occasionally, snacks are provided.
