Campus Safety

The Campus Safety Department holds the designation of a Campus Police Department under Ohio Revised Code, Section 1713.50. Our team provides campus-wide observation and protection through campus safety officers and surveillance on a 24-hour basis, responding to activities that could threaten the safety of students, faculty, staff, and guests.

Meet our staff

Jack Angelo

Growing up in Canton, Jack Angelo witnessed his family's service on the police force. At age 22, he became a police officer for Canton City Police Department. Jack attained steady promotions  through the ranks, serving in the Crime Scene Unit and Detective Bureau. By 2018, he served loyally in nearly every position the Force had to offer. Naturally, he assumed the role of Chief of Police. Jack retired from the Canton City police force and joined Malone as Director of Campus Safety with 33 years of service. He is proud to have responsibility at Malone. Jack loves spending time with his two children and new grandchild.

Ken Aguilar

After serving 21 years as a logistics manager in the transportation industry, Ken transitioned into the field of Safety and Security. He spent the last three years with Stark County Courts DUI program, and he joins Malone as Campus Safety Supervisor. He is a certified Sports Conditioning Specialist through the American Council on Exercise, and he has a passion for serving inner city youth of Canton. He has coached and been a part of the Pro Football HOF youth flag football team in the community. His passion and motivation to serve comes from his own personal hardships as a young person, and he finds fulfillment in coaching, mentoring, and inspiring others to push for success. In his spare time, he enjoys quality time with his family, the fitness lifestyle, and car shows. If he's not here, he's probably traveling to Arizona!
